About Sadie
Sadie is a beautiful 7-year-old Border Collie mix, around 30kg. She is a loving, affectionate girl who absolutely adores her people. She loves a cuddle and a warm blanket to tuck herself under, and she's surprisingly good at knowing when you need one too. Her foster family says Sadie seems to know when they need a bit of extra love and she is always happy to watch TV and lounge about.
For all her affection, Sadie is also something of a lazybones. She's very happy having a nap near her people and doesn't need to be entertained every minute of the day. She's fully house-trained, polite in the home and comfortable being left alone during the day. She does a cute happy dance when the people arrive, though! She loves her people!
Sadie loves her walks and runs, particularly at the beach. She is dog neutral and more focused on her person than other dogs, so she isn’t one for playing with others at a dog park.
Sadie is a clever girl who loves to please and knows quite a few commands, including sit, shake, wait, up, down and “tuck” — sitting between your legs. She would enjoy some games and training to keep her brain busy, as well as plenty of time simply hanging out with her people.
She can be protective of her home and the people she loves, so she'll make sure you know when someone arrives. She's also a bit enthusiastic with her toys and tends to destroy them, although she does have one special toy that has somehow escaped being eaten, “boney”, because boney is special, for some reason!
Vet visits aren't Sadie's favourite thing in the world, but thankfully she's a robust girl with no current medical concerns. A female visiting vet would be a good idea.
Sadie hasn't had experience with young children or cats, so she's looking for a home without either. She would suit someone looking for a loyal companion who can provide a calm but interesting life with walks, some fun, and lots of love.
Sadie is goofy, affectionate, clever and incredibly loyal. She is an ideal furry friend.
Medical notes
Sadie is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
Sadie is taking anxiety meds to help her cope with instability and a new baby in her current home.
Once settled, she may be able to be weaned off them.

Please note all our animals are in private foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Therefore all meets are by appointment only.
