About Trigger - 7 Year Old Kelpie
Meet Trigger - Ball obsessed. Bunny devoted. People loving.
Trigger is a 7 year old desexed male Tri-colour Kelpie that was surrendered in July due to a change in family circumstances.
He’s a gorgeous gentleman who has settled beautifully into foster care and is proving to be a loving, affectionate and wonderfully easy companion. Trigger grew up on a property in Medowie and, despite having hip issues as a pup, has remained active and spry. He may need a little help getting into the car.
About Trigger:
- Dog-friendly, but best as the only dog at home
- Fine with casual dog contacts and play
- Good with children aged 2+
- House-trained and non-destructive
- Can be left home alone and suits full-time workers
- Non-jumper
- Walks nicely on lead and travels well in the car
- Knows sit, wait and shake
- Sleeps happily indoors through the night
- No cats, birds or other small pets.
Trigger’s favourite things:
- Chasing balls — especially blue ones!
- His beloved fluffy rabbit
- Being close to his humans
- Walks and adventures
- Lounging beside you
- Car trips
When Trigger came into foster care, we knew immediately that he loved balls, especially any that are blue. Make sure you have a half a dozen available though, as they will get soggy quickly and need rotating.
Trigger can be a little shy when meeting new people, but once he decides you’re one of his humans, his affectionate personality shines through. He loves being near his people, enjoys cuddles and is very happy relaxing nearby while you get on with things.
He has been wonderful with the children, their friends and visitors in foster care. He enjoys walks and adventures, including chasing his ball or stick at the beach, but is equally happy lounging beside you at home.
Trigger is a mature gentleman with plenty of playfulness and personality left. He would love a home with a secure yard, indoor sleeping arrangements and humans who want to include him in everyday life.
He doesn’t need teaching how to live in a home — he already knows. He just needs someone to give him the chance to make it his home.
If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate Kelpie who loves his people, his walks and, above all else, his fluffy rabbit, Trigger might just be your boy.
Trigger is in foster care in Booker Bay, NSW. He is not available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
