About Marley
Hello there! I’m Marley, and I’m officially accepting applications for my forever family.

My Ideal Home:
• Familiarity and understanding of my breed traits would be highly valued.
• I’ll need regular exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• Most importantly, I’m looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• I have previously lived with young children (as little as 1 year old and I was amazing with them).
• I don't mind saying a quick hello to other friendly dogs when passing them when out & about but I don't have any more tolerance for them than that. I would like to be the only doggo in the home!
• A home without cats or other small animals would be best for me, as I’m likely to chase them.
My Paw-some Perks:
• I am a wiggle bum and love to do little zoomies when excited - after that I'm ready for a nap lol.
• I’m food motivated, which makes training lots of fun and helps me learn quickly.
• I’m gentle and placid in nature (I am not a bouncy/jumping girl at all), and I’ve had some basic obedience training — I’m generally a well-mannered lady. I know my basic commands like sit, shake, wait & come, and I’m always eager to learn more.
• I am housetrained and am used to being allowed indoors as part of the family.
• I am responsive to my name
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and head scratches, and I’m quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I am a great age where I am happy to netflix and chill the day away or join you on an adventure - the choice is yours!
Training & Support Needs:
• Once I’m settled, I can walk nicely on the lead, but I may pull if something grabs my attention or if I decide I’d like to head in a different direction. A harness or head halter would really help as well as further on lead training.
• I will bark at strangers approaching my house/yard, once I am introduced to them I am fine.
Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Marley if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well
