About Murphy
Murphy needs a foster home! 🐾
This tiny little JRT is looking for a special foster carer to help him make the transition from shelter life into a home, while continuing to work on his confidence.
Murphy is currently working closely with our behaviour trainer, alongside behavioural medication. He is very worried about new people, so his ideal foster home will be quiet, with few visitors and people who are happy to respect his personal space while he settles in. Once Murphy decides you're his person though, boy does he show it! Underneath those worries is an incredibly affectionate little guy who loves being close to his humans.
Murphy needs an adult, pet-free home. He doesn't need a big backyard, but would be much better suited to a house than a busy apartment or unit complex. He can initially be a bit of a velcro dog, but once settled, he does well being left home alone for a few hours when needed.
As Murphy's foster carer, you'll work closely with our behaviour trainer, with all supplies and support provided. You'll just need to make semi-regular trips to our Craigieburn shelter and vet clinic when required.
If you have a quiet home and can give Murphy the time and space he needs to feel safe, you could be the foster carer who helps this little guy take his next big step. 💛
