About Luke
Luke is an adorable, food loving young boy.
Luke was a bit worried by new people and new environments when he first came into care, so it may take some time for him to bond with his new family. Luke has now come a long way and he's shown us just how cute and funny he is when he opens up!
Luke LOVES to sniff, he will likely follow his nose wherever it takes him. Which may include counter tops and tables, especially if there is any food left out.
He is a young boy who is still learning basic cues and manners. He will need a supportive family who can provide structure and strict boundaries to help him learn better impulse control and other manners.
Luke will likely do well with regular positive based training sessions.
He loves enrichment, especially lickimats with peanut butter on them. We recommend feeding his meals through enrichment toys and activities to occupy his busy brain.
Luke may need someone home more often than not as he starts to form a bond with his family. We recommend starting walks slowly, giving him a few days to settle into the home environment first. Walking in quiet and calm areas.
We recommend older children in the home, who can read and respond appropriately to basic dog body language. Must meet at time of adoption.
Must meet other dogs at time of adoption. Social and playful with other dogs in shelter and did come in with another dog also.
