About Roma
š¾ Meet Roma
Roma is a beautiful, gentle girl who has come a very long way.
Roma was found all alone and in heartbreaking condition, weighing just 2kg and severely malnourished. Thankfully, some kind-hearted good Samaritans managed to catch her and bring her into our care. With plenty of love, veterinary care and endless food, Roma has gained some much-needed weight and is now ready to find a home of her own.
Our vet and foster team estimate Roma to be around 1 year old, although given her history and the condition she was found in, we cannot know her exact age for certain.
Roma is an absolute sweetheart. She is very smoochy and loves weaving around your legs for attention. She adores a good pat and scratches around her head and cheeks and will happily soak up the affection ā on her terms, of course! Roma isnāt comfortable being picked up or held, so sheās looking for someone who will respect her boundaries and let her show affection in her own special way.
Having spent her life as a feral cat, Roma is still a shy and cautious girl. Her foster carer has worked hard to introduce her to the warm and comfortable world inside, but at this stage, the indoors can still feel a little overwhelming and scary for her. Roma will need a patient home that understands she may never become a traditional indoor lap cat ā and thatās okay!
We think Roma would be happiest in an indoor/outdoor home with a secure cat enclosure, where she can enjoy the outdoors while gradually becoming more comfortable spending time inside. Alternatively, she could suit a safe rural or farm-style property where she can live predominantly outdoors, away from busy roads, with reliable access to food, water, shelter and a cosy bed.
Roma would prefer a home without dogs, but she does get along well with other cats.
Roma has already overcome so much. All sheās looking for now is someone who will give her the time, patience and safe environment she needs to continue blossoming. ā¤ļø

We require a completed expression of interest form prior to an initial meet and greet. A downloadable expression of interest form can be found a www.carmar.com.au. We may request a property inspection before adoption is finalised.
