Could you offer unconditional love to a timid but young pup?
Rex is a timid soul, but is settling in well to his foster home, because he's finally found somewhere where he is being shown patience, kindness and love, so he's slowly learning to relax. He is still scared of sudden loud noises and also the broom, but we think Rex will thrive in a quiet home with a compassionate owner who can show him that the world can be a kind place.
Rex can live with a couple, though he does preference women over men: possibly due to past experiences. He finds children a bit overwhelming, so we think he would best suit an adult-only household without the noise of kids. Rex is a good boy! No digging, no chewed-up shoes. He lives alongside the resident pet rabbit in his foster home and shows no interest whatsoever in chasing or harassing him. He's happy to meet dogs of all sizes, so a confident canine companion could be wonderful for him in his new home.
Rex is very obedient and walks nicely on a lead. He's starting to really enjoy car trips! He's a quiet dog and rarely barks. He's so gentle by nature, and takes treats so softly. He's just a sweetheart.
Lovely Rex is seeking a patient new home, who will let him find his feet gradually until he feels secure. He likes being around his trusted humans and likes a safe space he can retreat to when he needs it. Given time to build his confidence, we are sure Rex will start to lose his fear and start to shine.
Rex will reward the right person with loyalty and gentle companionship: the kind of friend that makes every bit of patience worth it.
If you have a quiet home, like a daily stroll and have a soft spot for a dog deserving of a real, loving forever home, then Rex is waiting to hear from you.

ADOPTION NOTES
Our adoption process for the successful applicant includes a meet and greet, (including your own dog if applicable), a home check (or photos/video of your yard and fencing to be supplied to us if not local), and a two week trial period to ensure your chosen dog is the right fit for your home.
All adoption fees must be deposited into the Second Tale Animal Rescue (STAR) bank account in full before adoption trial starts, and please note, we cannot accept cash. The Adoption Agreement will be emailed to the selected applicant in advance of meeting your chosen dog.
