Meet Burger,

Burger has never met a stranger - only people who haven't given him attention yet. Confident, outgoing, ridiculously social and fully aware that he is cute as a button, Burger firmly believes he should be the star of every room he enters. He's vocal, clever and incredibly people-oriented, with a serious case of FOMO. He's technically an independent young cat... he'd just prefer to be independent approximately three centimetres away from you at all times.

Affection with Burger is less of a request and more of an expectation. He loves pats, cuddles and being involved in whatever you're doing, and if he feels you haven't provided an appropriate amount of attention, he may take matters into his own paws. Burger has been known to launch himself from his condo directly into an unsuspecting chest, shoulder or pair of arms because apparently waiting to be invited for a cuddle is wildly inefficient. He's even figured out how to open his hidey-hole door, so keeping this clever little brain entertained is going to be important!

Thankfully, Burger loves play and enrichment, particularly dangling toys and anything that makes him work for food. He's certainly food motivated, but given the choice, people usually win. Burger is litter trained, although his extreme FOMO can occasionally get the better of him in his condo - sometimes there are simply far too many important things happening and bathroom breaks need to be completed at record speed. He can also play-bite when he gets excited, so children in his future home should be confident and cat-savvy enough to understand when Burger needs a moment to settle.

Burger is confident around other animals and could potentially live with another cat or a cat-friendly dog. He can become overstimulated, though, so slow introductions and allowing him to properly settle into his new home before meeting resident pets will give everyone the best chance of becoming friends. The good news is that if another animal isn't interested in his antics, Burger is capable of taking the hint and walking away.

If you're looking for a quiet, undemanding cat who keeps to himself... Burger would like to respectfully withdraw his application. But if you want a hilarious, clever, affectionate little shadow who plans to be involved in absolutely everything you do, Burger is ready to report for duty.
