About Zorro
Zorro is a handsome young German Shepherd who, at just two years and four months old, has already experienced multiple homes in his short life. He has an old soul.
We would love to see Zorro finally find the loving, committed family he deserves — a home where he is an integral part of the family and can feel safe, secure and valued.
Zorro is looking for an experienced German Shepherd owner who understands the breed and can provide him with the structure, consistency and clear boundaries he needs. With the right guidance and patient human interaction, we believe Zorro can continue to build his confidence and settle into his new environment.
Like most German Shepherds, Zorro wants to be with his human family when they are home. He would love to be included in family life and have his people around him rather than being left outside or isolated from the family.
Zorro would not be suitable for a home with livestock, small dogs, cats or pocket pets.
His ideal home will be with someone who is confident handling a young German Shepherd and understands the importance of providing leadership, routine, boundaries and positive guidance.
After having several homes already, Zorro deserves a family who is committed to him for life and will give him the stability, patience and love he needs to truly flourish.
We always recommend post-adoption training whether it be at home or with a professional. Training doesn’t have to be a chore – it can be a fun experience for you both, it doesn’t have to take long and is a great way for you to bond with your new pal.
Zorro is currently available for adoption in NSW, ACT, Queensland and Victoria. If you're interested in making him a cherished member of your family, you'll need to drive with your loved ones to meet him. Should he, for any reason, not be the perfect fit for your family, you would be responsible for either bringing him back to Sydney or helping us rehome him from your home.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
Post Adoption Life: With all dog it is important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as seamless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these dogs have unknown histories - most are left in the shelter by their owners. The information we have is from observing the animal’s behaviours and reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to three months to properly decompress from post-shelter life and a lot of behaviours and quirks may surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind and are patient.
