About Ellie
“Hi there, my name is Ellie.
I’m a pretty and happy young kelpie who didn’t have the best start to my life. In my previous home, I was left on a chain most of the time when all I wanted to do is run, run, run and play!
That’s okay though, because I know that my new family will love me and spend lots of time with me.
I would thrive in a home who has another playful energetic dog and with someone who is home a lot.
Because I am a working breed dog, I would love to keep learning new things and consistent ongoing training.
I would not be happy with living in a suburban backyard so maybe a hobby farm or the like would be better.”
Ellie is a gentle soul and can be a bit shy until she knows that you are her friend. Ellie loves chasing flies around the backyard and also loves chasing her younger foster brother around for most of the day. Ellie is still unsure how to play with toys and the ball, however is seeming more interested everyday.
Ellie has a very strong sit and she can wait until released for her dinner. Ellie will settle / rest and sleep in her crate when needed. Ellie is also working on loose lead walking and her recall. Ellie is extremely treat driven, making her a fast learner.
If you are experienced with working breed dogs and willing to continue with Ellie’s training, then maybe you will be a perfect match.
