Spot

When Spot first arrived in our care through no fault of his own, shelter life and all the unfamiliar sights and sounds left him feeling a little unsure. After some time in our quieter kennels and plenty of gentle encouragement, he soon began to blossom into the big, goofy, lovable boy who is now stealing the hearts of our staff and volunteers.

Spot is certainly not a small lad, and we'll be honest, his lead manners could use a little work! But what he lacks in polished walking skills, he more than makes up for in charm. He's a true gentle giant with an enthusiasm for life and a sweet, playful nature that's sure to win over any lover of the larger breeds.

With his beautiful wiry coat and long legs reminiscent of a Wolfhound, plus that wonderfully big head that hints at a little something else in the mix, Spot is quite the handsome character. Whatever his breed makeup, one thing is certain: he's 100% lovable, sweet and ready to find his people.

Spot has previously lived with smaller dogs, and we think he could happily share his home with a canine companion again. We're more than happy to help with introductions to make sure everyone gets off on the right paw. He's also gentle enough to join a family with older, dog-savvy children, and a feline friend may even be a possibility with careful introductions.
