About Lyra (The Harp)
✨Hi friends, my name is Lyra! I’m a strikingly beautiful Torby girl looking for a quiet, patient home to call my own.
My sister Cassie (who has found her forever home!) and I were born to a stray mum cat on a rural property. We didn't have any human interaction for our first couple of months, so we were very scared when we first arrived into care. But thanks to the love of our foster family, I've really come out of my shell!
I’m a naturally shy girl who takes a little time to warm up to new environments. When I feel startled or unsure, I might give a little hiss to express my nervous feelings, but I've never shown an ounce of aggression. Underneath my timid start is the sweetest, most affectionate companion! Once I know I'm safe, I love seeking out head scratches, burrowing under cosy blankets, laying right beside you, and rubbing up against you for cuddles. Instead of a big meow, I make the cutest quiet little chirps when I want some extra love!
I adore gentle play with toys and get along wonderfully with kids. I also live with a small dog and have zero issues coexisting with him!
I am a champ when it comes to eating my dry kibble, drinking my water, and using my litter box reliably.
If you're ready to give a sweet, gentle girl the time and patience she needs to bloom, please submit an application for me today!
Purrs and chirps,
Lyra xo
Medical Note:
I tested negative for FIV/FeLV and have been an inside-only kitty since. I should be kept inside or in a secure enclosure to keep me (and the wildlife!) safe and healthy.
PLEASE NOTE THAT SCA DOES NOT CONDONE ROAMING CATS – when applying to adopt me, it is expected that I will be kept as an indoor only cat and/or in a suitable outdoor enclosure.
All applications will be assessed for suitability and compatibility. Approved adoptions will commence with a two week trial, after which time the adoption will be final and the microchip will be transferred to you.
