About Toby
Toby is a beautiful boy who is pretty much the perfect cat. He loves to play with toys and hang out with his humans, and that's all he really asks from life.
He loves rolling over and getting belly rubs. Pats of all kinds are great. While his humans are working, he's happy to sit next to them on the chair (or on their laptop!) to keep them company, and if it's lounge time, then he'll curl up on your lap and purr.
He's fine to hang on his own too, and will entertain himself by snoozing on the cat tree while his humans are away.
He's OK with the resident kids as long as they're not too grabby. If they get a bit that way, he'll just take himself off somewhere away from them.
The one thing he's not fond of is other cats. We're not sure if its the resident cat or him, but the two don't get along, and so we think Toby would be happier in a household where he was the only kitty. He's absolutely fine to hang on his own.
Otherwise, he's a lovely easygoing boy.

ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
