Meet Peggy Gou 💛

Peggy Gou is very happily settling into her golden years.

When it comes to activity levels, Peggy Gou is definitely more of a couch potato than a high energy working dog. She loves getting out and about but is also perfectly happy to spend plenty of time lounging around and relaxing. Her laid-back nature makes her a great match for someone looking for a calm companion rather than a high-energy dog.

Before foster care, Peggy Gou spent much of her life as a free-roaming farm dog before making the transition to apartment living. She has adapted beautifully and is fully toilet trained, happily waiting for her walks to do her business. She is quiet, non-destructive and has little interest in toys. Peggy Gou is also comfortable being left alone for a few hours, where she’ll happily snooze until you return.

She’s highly food motivated, which has made learning new things a breeze. She’s already picking up great habits on lead, although she’ll need some continued guidance to keep her attention on her human rather than every dog she passes. Peggy Gou enjoys taking her walks at her own pace and stopping to sniff most things along the way.

An excellent companion, Peggy Gou would be happiest as your one and only dog, but she could potentially live with a second small, non-dominant dog.

Her favourite things in life are simple: a comfy spot on the floor near you, plenty of head and belly scratches, and being close to her people. I have no doubt you’ll fall for her big smile and wiggly tail.

Peggy Gou is also a lovely car companion. She does like to take a moment to carefully consider her seating options before settling on her preferred spot, but once she’s decided, she happily lies down and rests for the journey.

Peggy Gou is a gentle, affectionate older girl who has taken every change in her stride. She’s looking for a loving home where she can enjoy the simple things: walks where she can explore, cosy naps on her bed, good food and just knowing she is loved.
