Luna

Luna is a beautiful 3-year-old Maremma Sheepdog x Kelpie with a wonderfully gentle soul. Sweet, calm and quiet, Luna is the kind of girl who takes life at her own pace and is happiest when she feels safe, settled and surrounded by a little peace and quiet.

Luna definitely leans towards her Maremma side when it comes to meeting new people and exploring unfamiliar places. She can be a little unsure at first, so she'll need a patient family who understands that trust takes time and is happy to let her find her confidence at her own pace. Once she's comfortable, Luna loves nothing more than getting out into a big yard, exploring her surroundings and quietly watching the world go by - especially keeping an eye on all the animals around her!

Luna could happily live in a family home with older, calm children who will respect her gentle nature, or she may be equally content in an adult-only home. Luna has not been tested with other animals while in our care but history suggests she isn't great with chickens. Any future introductions would need to be approached thoughtfully and carefully.

While Luna doesn't necessarily need a traditional working home, we think she would absolutely love having some land to explore, plenty of space to stretch her legs and something to quietly watch over. She's a girl who seems to appreciate having a little job of her own, even if that job is simply supervising everything happening around her!
