About Topsy
đ Topsy's Personality:
Topsy is a typical energetic puppy - full of life, curiosity, and cheeky charm. She is confident and happy by nature, and her sweet, adorable personality makes her incredibly easy to fall in love with. She thrives on attention and affection, and she absolutely loves cuddles; being close to her humans is one of her favourite things in the world.
At this stage, Topsy doesnât like to be left alone for long periods. She is still very young and is learning that the world is a safe place, so she needs reassurance, company, and gentle guidance. Sheâs also quite a good climber, which means sheâs clever, determined, and resourceful - but it also means her future home will need secure fencing and a watchful eye while she grows and learns.
Topsy is a puppy with a big future ahead of her. With the right family, she will blossom into a loving, loyal companion who brings joy and laughter to everyday life.
đĄ Topsy's Ideal Forever Home:
Because Topsy is still a baby and will live a long, active life, her forever home must be truly suited to her needs - both now and in the years to come.
Her ideal home will include:
* People who are home often, or can provide dogâfriendly routines, as she currently struggles with being left alone and needs company and reassurance.
* Secure, puppyâproof fencing, especially given her climbing skills and adventurous nature.
* Commitment to training, socialisation, and enrichment, helping her grow into a wellâmannered, confident adult dog.
* Patience and consistency, understanding that puppies make mistakes, need guidance, and require time to learn.
Topsy will attract a lot of interest because she is small, adorable, and very sweet. However, she is not a âlowâmaintenanceâ companion - she is a young dog with many years ahead of her, and she needs adopters who can walk beside her through all stages of her life. We will be looking for a home that can offer longâterm stability, appropriate activity, and a deep commitment to her well-being.
đ Topsy's Rescue Story:
Topsy joins us from Taree Pound, where she found herself in need of a safe place and a fresh start. Her transition into care has been a bit overwhelming at times - understandable for such a young pup - but she has shown no signs of aversion to other doggies. Instead, sheâs simply a baby learning how big and busy the world can be.
With gentle handling, cuddles, and patient support, Topsy is beginning to relax and show more of her playful, loving nature. She is discovering that humans can be trusted, that comfort is available, and that she doesnât have to face life alone.
Now, sheâs ready to begin the search for her forever family - one that will cherish her from puppyhood through to her golden years.
đ©ș Topsy's Medical History:
To the best of our knowledge, Topsy has no current medical issues. She has received full routine vet work appropriate for her age and rescue status, including:
* Desexed
* Microchipped
* Vaccinated
* Heartworm prevention
* Tick treatment
* Intestinal worming
* Flea treatment
Her adopters should be prepared to continue regular preventative care, provide highâquality nutrition, and support her through normal puppy growth and development.
