About Vader - 5 Year Old French Bulldog
Vader, our little pocket rocket is a 12 kg 5yr old French Bulldog. He is sweet, affectionate and easy to love. He adores all humans and is incredibly kind to children of all ages. He walks nicely on a leash and loves being involved in his foster family’s daily activities (especially soccer).
Vader is very calm at home and relaxes but also loves playing with balls and toys. He can be a little vocal when he meets dogs on the street and gets very excited to play. Vader has some mobility issues so as much as he loves playing with other dogs this needs to be controlled.
Vader has ongoing medical issues which his foster family have done an incredible job at managing. He will need a family fully committed to continuing this level of care:
- Wobbliness and instability in his back legs (due to spine - his discs are closer together than they should be at the end of his spine). He does physio and is building muscle, he will need to continue this.
- Hip dysplasia - Vader has mild hip dysplasia
- Ear infections - his ears are okay at the moment but the vet said we can expect his ear infections to be something that is ongoing. He requires regular ear cleaning to help manage this.
- Skin flare ups - like many Frenchies he is a sensitive boy. We manage this with diet and medicated baths as required.
- Toileting - can have accidents at times. This could be managed well if he had access to a yard.
