About Ursula
Ursula has had a journey in foster care. Initially very timid and unsure of the outside world she is growing in confidence and now enjoying her outside adventures. She is a goofy young girl who likes random play and has bursts of exuberent energy but then happy to nap the day away.
Ursula now gets quite excited when she hears the rattle of house keys and when you reach for her lead. She has a delighted tail wag for the duration of her two daily walks. Ursula is still getting used to busy areas but enjoys her walks in quieter areas such as along Merri Creek. There is lots to stimulate her so the is some zig-zagging to make the most of her environment. She will also take some patience to help her confidence in meeting new dogs on her walks. Ursula will also have some energy left after her walk so will appreciate some space for post walk zoomies when home.
Ula is in foster care as an only dog with her humans home a lot. She may take some time to adjust being home alone. She would be very happy to share her home with a suitable dog if her humans are not home as often. She loves her foster carers and can’t think of anything better than a bit on binge watching on the couch with them. She is however capable of some less clingy time on her own bed while her humans are at their desk working from home.
Ursula will adapt well to a home where her humans are home much of the time or if there is a suitable doggy companion.

We’d love to help you find your greyhound match!
To get started, we’ll ask for a bit of information about your home and lifestyle on our application form. This helps us make sure we match you with a dog that suits your household and sets both of you up for success.
Many greyhounds come from racing kennels where they’re used to having other dogs around. Some can struggle being left completely alone, which can lead to signs of separation anxiety like barking or chewing.
Because of this, we usually look to rehome greyhounds into homes where they’ll have company - either human or canine - and not be left alone for more than four hours on a regular basis. If that’s not your setup right now, don’t worry as we’re happy to chat about options such as dog walkers, doggy daycare, or taking your greyhound to work.
Our Adoption Checklist:
To be considered for adoption, we ask that you have:
A secure, fully fenced yard (minimum height around hip height)
A home where the dog is allowed to sleep inside at night
A routine that doesn’t leave the dog home alone regularly for long periods (more than 4 hours) without people or another dog for company
