About Willa
Willa is a lovely, sweet dog, who absolutely adores her humans, she would love a home where they are home often and she is allowed inside the house to be with them.
Willa can get anxious in the home when there are loud sudden noises, fast spontaneous movements, or when she can't see or be with her people. She can pace when her people are sitting down while she waits for them to get up and go somewhere. She needs reminders to lay down and settle. We are looking for an experienced home that can continue to help her grow in confidence and work on managing her anxiety. Going for daily walks helps ease her nervous energy. Her foster carers can explain what works best for Willa.
She is a ball of wiggles around her people and after having a second to check out a new person and receiving her first pat from them, she is ready to be their new best friend!
Willa would like a home with another dog who is confident and calm, with little interest in playing with her, as she has never learnt to play with other dogs and finds the concept scary. But she very much likes their company!
She loves her daily walks and spending time with her people, if out with just her humans, she will generally stay close to your side making sure not to lose you, or if out with her dog friend, she will often follow them, checking in with you to see where you are!
Willa is trained to sleep in a crate overnight or to sit in there during the day when she is overstimulated to calm down. She is also fully house trained!
Due to her anxious nature, Willa is not suited to a home with children, but could thrive in a home with older teenages who are willing to help maintain her training!
Willa is a breeze to walk on the lead making it an enjoyable experience. She also travels in the car without issue!
Willa just loves water and is in her happy place when she can jump around in it and swim.
She has shown little to no interest in small animals and chickens behind fences, and will give large livestock a healthy distance if in a paddock with them! She does not bark at them.
Willa requires the following in her new home:
* Daily walks and occasional water play.
* A fully fenced yard.
* A Male desexed dog not to playful living in the home.
* People home often.
* People that will continue her training and can manage her anxiety.
* No young children.

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis. We assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animals needs.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home, please send us a detailed email with some information about the people and any other animals in your home, as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteers who run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home must attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a fully refundable 2 week trial period. If you ever find yourself unable to care for, or keep your pet, please contact us and they will come back into our care, or we will do our best to assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition that you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
