Meet Winnie! 💕 A playful, affectionate girl with plenty of personality, Winnie loves being part of the action and spending time with her people. She’s mostly a very well-behaved lady, although apparently toilet paper is far too tempting to leave intact if the opportunity presents itself!
Winnie could happily settle into either a house or apartment, provided she gets a couple of walks each day to stretch her legs and investigate the world. And investigate she will! Winnie is incredibly interested in everything happening around her. She walks quite nicely on lead, although unexpected noises can grab her attention, so she’ll benefit from someone who can calmly guide her while she continues getting used to all the sights and sounds of pet life.
She is comfortable spending time by herself, although like most dogs, Winnie would much rather have her favourite humans nearby. When everyone is home, expect a loving and affectionate companion who enjoys being part of family life.
Winnie can also live with confident, dog-savvy cats. She can be tempted by a chase if they take off, so a cat who is comfortable holding their ground rather than running away would be the best match. Her interactions haven’t shown concerning intent, and with sensible introductions and supervision she can happily share her home with the right feline friend.
At night, Winnie likes to settle into a really deep sleep. She’ll be happiest with a family who understands that when she’s snoozing soundly, it’s best to let her know you’re nearby before reaching out to touch her. Once she knows you’re there, she’s comfortable and relaxed.
Most of all, Winnie is a fun, affectionate girl who brings plenty of character to the household. She loves to play, loves her people and is discovering all the joys of life as a much-loved pet. Keep the toilet roll safely out of reach and Winnie will happily take care of bringing the entertainment! 🥰

Adoption details
The adoption fee is $395 and includes desexing, C5 vaccination, muzzle and lifetime registration in NSW.
Once we found a potential match, the following will happen:
- Phone chat with one of the HBH coordinators
- Phone chat with the foster carer
- Meet and Greet with the foster carer and the dog
- Setting up your personal support group through FB messenger or Whatsapp with Foster Carer and HBH coordinators
- House visit (virtual or in person)
- Paperwork and Adoption fee to be returned to HBH
- Trial start (2 weeks)
- Final adoption!
