About Kookaburra
Meet Kookaburra, affectionately known as Cookie! 🐱💕
Cookie is a gorgeous little boy with the perfect combination of playful kitten energy and serious cuddle credentials! He absolutely loves playing with his brothers, especially when string toys or shoelaces are involved. That is very important business! 🧶🎾
But once playtime is over, Cookie’s favourite place is right beside his human. He will happily seek you out for a cuddle, find the cosiest spot to curl up for a nap and loves nothing more than sleeping tucked in beside you. When bedtime rolls around, you can count on Cookie following you straight to bed. 😴❤️
Cookie is also a big fan of food and is wonderfully patient and polite while waiting for his meals. Treats, however, are a different story, and he is always very enthusiastic when those little goodies make an appearance! 😋
He is fantastic with other cats and would happily fit into all kinds of loving families. With his affectionate nature, playful personality and wonderful love of people, Cookie has so much love to give.
If you’re looking for a sweet little companion who will keep you entertained during the day and snuggle up beside you at night, Kookaburra could be your perfect match. Whoever gets to welcome this gorgeous boy into their family will be incredibly lucky. 🥰🐾
Our adoptable cats are indoor-only to keep them safe, healthy and happy. We ask all adopters to provide a secure indoor home where their new companion can thrive.
For all cats under 12 months old, Rocky Roads Rescue has a strict, no single kittens adoption policy. Solo adoptions will only be permitted if specified in the cat's profile.

Rocky Roads is run completely by volunteers - as such sometimes we do not have the capacity to reply to every single application that comes through.
We understand that this may not be the best experience but we are working hard to ensure the people who give up their valuable time and lives to support the animals in our care are able to look after themselves and their families too.
Without them, there is no Rocky Roads Rescue.

~The Adoption Process~
⦿ Adoption enquiry comes through
⦿ One of the RR team will reach out to discuss the adoption process with you - we are volunteers, please allow time for us to reach out to you!
⦿ Meet and greet is organised and completed - you head home! 💚
⦿ Family chats to decide if this adoption is right for you!
⦿ Adoption fee is paid
⦿ Contracts are signed and returned to RR
⦿ Pick up your new family member
⦿ 2 week trial period - during this time you can call and text any questions, concerns, celebrations etc to us!
⦿ At the end of the 2 week trial period we send you desex certificates, vaccination certificates and the microchip will be submitted for transfer into your name
Please note that at Rocky Roads Rescue, we believe every kitten deserves the joy of companionship. To support their well-being and happiness, we generally do not adopt out single kittens. We encourage you to explore the concept of ‘single kitten syndrome’ to understand why having a furry friend is so important. Your new family member will thrive best with a feline buddy or a cat-friendly dog to share playtime and cuddles. However, on occasion, if a cats’s personality shows they prefer to be on their own, we may consider adopting them solo—this will be clearly specified in their adoption profile.
