Looking for a quiet, low-maintenance lap cat? Keep scrolling! π
Looking for a confident, highly intelligent, affectionate little whirlwind who will keep you entertained, make you laugh, and occasionally outsmart you? Then Roxy might just be your girl! β€οΈ
Roxy is a gorgeous young girl with a HUGE personality packed into one fluffy little body. She's curious, fearless, incredibly intelligent, and absolutely convinced that everything happening in your home is her business.
π§ A Little Genius in a Fluffy Coat
Roxy isn't just a pretty face. She's one seriously smart cookie!
She's already learned how to SIT on command, and with her love of food and treats, we suspect she could learn plenty more tricks. She's also taught herself how to open doors!
She's also an expert investigator. Whether you're cooking, cleaning, opening a cupboard or simply walking into another room, expect Roxy to follow closely behind. She needs to know exactly what you're doing!
She's confident, adventurous and loves exploring new spaces. Rather than hiding away, you'll find her proudly strutting around with her tail held high, inspecting her kingdom.
And strangers? No problem! Roxy is quite happy to introduce herself and request a little attention. π₯°
πΎ Playtime Is Serious Business!
Roxy has LOTS of energy, and keeping that clever little brain busy is the secret to a happy household.
She absolutely LOVES:
π Chasing wand toys and practising her hunting skills
πΎ Ambushing toys inside her play tunnel
π₯ Wrestling oversized kicker toys with enthusiastic bunny kicks
𧩠Learning tricks and working for tasty rewards
π³ Lounging on high, open perches where she can stretch out and survey her kingdom
Roxy particularly enjoys short, energetic play sessions throughout the day.
And here's the important bit: a bored Roxy is a mischievous Roxy! π
When she hasn't had enough stimulation, she can become a little nippy. But the good news is that she's easily redirected towards her favourite toys.
She isn't being naughty for the sake of it. She's a bright, energetic young cat who needs an outlet for all that enthusiasm!
β€οΈ Affection on Her Terms, Please!
Underneath that cheeky exterior is a genuinely affectionate little sweetheart.
Roxy loves a good snuggle, happily makes biscuits on her humans, and might even crawl under the blankets for a cosy nap on a chilly day. π₯Ή
She enjoys being brushed, too, although sometimes the brush becomes an exciting hunting target!
But Roxy has boundaries, and she'd really appreciate a human who understands them.
She prefers short bursts of affection rather than long, continuous petting sessions. Too much touching can quickly become overwhelming, and she may communicate that with a little nip.
The trick is to recognise when she's had enough and give her some space or redirect her energy towards a toy.
And if she rolls over and shows you that beautiful fluffy belly?
π¨ IT'S A TRAP! π¨
Admire the belly. Compliment the belly. But whatever you do, don't touch the belly! π
She's also not particularly fond of having her bottom scratched.
Roxy is a loving girl, but she needs someone who understands that affection doesn't always mean endless cuddles and pats.
π½οΈ A Foodie With Expensive Taste!
Roxy loves her food and isn't particularly fussy, but she certainly knows what she likes!
Creamy treats and freeze-dried treats are firm favourites. Dried fish? Not so much, thank you.
She's also clever enough to recognise her favourite treat packaging and may attempt to knock it onto the floor or bite her way inside.
And don't leave your dinner unattended. Roxy believes human food deserves a thorough inspection, too! π
Sometimes she even appreciates a little company while she finishes her meal. After all, why dine alone when you can have your own personal dinner companion?
π‘ The Perfect Home for Our Little Queen
This is the most important part of Roxy's story.
Roxy spent a short time with her foster carer and didn't enjoy the company of the other feline residents.
Roxy was then adopted into a loving home where her family gave her a wonderful chance. Unfortunately, despite their incredible efforts, it became clear that she was not comfortable sharing her space with another cat (just one this time).
Her adopter has gone above and beyond to understand her, and thanks to their kindness, we now know so much more about what Roxy needs to thrive.
Roxy is looking for a home where she will be the ONLY cat. π
She would be happiest with someone who:
πΎ Enjoys interactive play and can provide regular enrichment
β€οΈ Understands feline body language and respects her boundaries
π§ Appreciates intelligent, energetic and sometimes mischievous cats
π‘ Can offer a secure, stimulating home with plenty of climbing and lounging opportunities
π Is happy to let Roxy be the one and only feline ruler of the household!
A few other things to know: Roxy is excellent with her litter tray, isn't a fan of the vacuum cleaner, and seems to feel more settled overnight with a little night light on.
π Could You Be Roxy's Perfect Person?
Roxy isn't a cat who will quietly disappear into the background.
She's the cat who will follow you into every room, supervise your daily activities, demand a game of chase, make you laugh with her antics, and then surprise you by curling up beside you for the sweetest little snuggle.
She's funny, clever, confident, affectionate, and just the right amount of chaotic.
If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind little companion with a huge personality and an even bigger capacity to entertain, Roxy might be the missing piece of your family.
Let's find this little queen the kingdom she deserves! ππΎ
