About Gizmo
Gizmo: The 4-month-old Dane puppy who actually follows the rules. 👾
Don't worry, you can feed him after midnight—but this vision impaired Great Dane pup does have a few rules of his own. For starters, mornings are strictly reserved for sunbathing on the patio.
Despite being almost completely blind, Gizmo is a total shadow. He keeps pace by trailing the kids and following the other dogs around the yard like a oversized, floppy caboose. He’s even conquering the stairs like a champ.
He’s a total dream to live with: when he senses dinner is being prepped, he proudly marches himself straight into his crate. When night falls, his internal clock kicks in and he tucks himself into bed (and boasts a flawless record of zero overnight accidents).
From scared Pound Pup to kicking goals in foster care - this guy is one special fella now ready to find his forever home.
Note: Adoption fee includes desexing when old enough.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions. Vision Impaired.

Hear No Evil Adoption Process 🐾
Our adoption process is designed to ensure every dog is matched with the right home. We take the time to assess each application carefully so nothing is overlooked and every placement sets both the dog and adopter up for success.
1. Application
Complete our adoption application via the link below:
https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=vl2684&method=online_form_html&formid=21
This is the first step in helping us understand your lifestyle, experience, and what you’re looking for in a dog. Applications are reviewed and suitable applicants will progress to the next stage.
2. Phone Interviews (Two-Step Process)
You will be contacted by two separate members of our admin team for phone interviews.
We don’t rely on just one person’s assessment—having two conversations ensures consistency, allows different perspectives, and helps make sure nothing is missed. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions and fully understand what’s involved.
3. Meet & Greet / Foster Interview
If you progress, the next step is meeting the dog and their foster carer:
Local applicants: A meet & greet will be arranged with the foster carer. All members of your family should attend including if you have a resident dog.
Interstate applicants: A Zoom call will be organised with the foster carer. All family members should be involved.
This step allows you to get a real understanding of the dog’s personality, needs, and daily routine.
4. Yard Check
Prior to final approval, a yard/property check will be conducted to ensure the environment is safe, secure, and suitable for the dog.
5. Committee Review & Final Approval
Once all steps are successfully completed, your application is presented to the Hear No Evil Committee for final sign-off. All adoptions require committee approval before proceeding.
6. Adoption Finalisation
Once approved:
Adoption fees are finalised
Handover or transport arrangements are organised (interstate transport is at the adopter’s expense)
You’ll receive all relevant records and information
We also provide ongoing support to help both you and your new dog settle in.
