Meet Flora ❤️
Every now and then, a dog comes along who is just something special — and Flora is one of those dogs.
Flora is an incredibly gentle, affectionate and calm girl who simply loves being with her people. She’s a true companion at heart; whether you’re out exploring, relaxing at a café or curled up at home, Flora is happy as long as she has someone beside her.
She has beautiful manners and walks wonderfully on lead. When out and about, she’s calm and confident without needing to be involved in everything around her. She’s happy to greet people and other dogs politely, but equally happy to simply walk on by.
Kids riding bikes, ducks wandering past and all the other excitement of the outside world? Flora takes it in her stride. If someone stops to offer her a cuddle though, she certainly won’t say no!
Her gentle nature really shines around children too. Flora has even spent time around a small baby, calmly walking past while the baby played on a blanket. Later, when the baby was being held, Flora gave her a gentle sniff, a little lick on the hand and then simply settled down beside them.
She’s just as easygoing in the car, where she happily lies down and snoozes for the journey.
At home, Flora is an absolute snuggle bunny. She loves cuddling up, sitting with you and giving little kisses. She doesn’t jump up, has lovely manners and when she sees her favourite people, her bum wiggles so enthusiastically you’d swear it might fall off!
We think Flora could blossom in so many different homes. A family with children, a couple, someone living on their own or even an older person or couple looking for a calm companion could all potentially be a wonderful match for her.
More than anything, Flora wants a person to call her own. Someone she can walk beside, sit beside, snooze beside and love.
For someone looking for a gentle, loyal best friend to share everyday life with, Flora really is a one-in-a-million girl. ❤️

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed

The site is ran by volunteers who also have work commitments and families of their own.
