Please Note: You’ll only be able to meet Stella if your application is approved. Successful applicants will be invited to the shelter for a meet-and-greet, and any dogs currently in the home must attend as well

PLEASE NOTE: Shelter staff make the final decision based on determining if the applicant can meet the animal’s needs (lifestyle, home environment, experience) Our goal is to ensure a permanent home that sets both the animal and new family up for success.
Shelter staff reserve the right to deny an adoption if they determine the animal's specific needs do not match the applicant's lifestyle.

General:
• I’ll need daily exercise — walks, park or beach trips, and playtime in the backyard will keep me happy and healthy.
• Ongoing training and guidance with basic manners will help me grow into a well-behaved companion.
• I want to be part of the family indoors — not left outside without interaction.
• Secure fencing (6ft Colourbond or equivalent) is essential to keep me safe.
• I’d love plenty of toys and mental enrichment to keep my busy mind occupied.
• Most importantly, I’m looking for lots of love and attention from my family.
• I can be very shy when I first meet you, so I need a calm family who will understand and accept this and give me the time and patience I need and deserve.
• Socialisation is just as important as training. Taking me to new places, introducing me to all sorts of people, dogs, and other animals will help me grow into a confident, well-adjusted dog.

Dog Compatibility:
• I appear to be highly submissive and get along with all other dogs. I do have separation anxiety so if going to a home where il be left alone for hours another doggy friend would be beneficial.

Cat / small animal:
• I haven’t previously lived with a cat and showed the potential to chase when meeting them, so not recommended I go to a home where I’m likely to interact with a cat unless its an extremely dog savvy cat and you are willing to do very slow introductions.

Perks:
• I’m a very playful, happy girl with the cutest little wiggle-butt when I’m excited, once I get to know you and feel comfortable.
• I absolutely love attention, cuddles, hugs, kisses and belly scratches, and I’m quite partial to snoozing on the couch with my humans.
• I’m clever, enthusiastic, and would thrive with a family who’ll continue my training and maybe even teach me some cool new tricks.

Training:
• Once I’m on lead, I walk quite well however can pull and be a little erratic at times. Lots of walks and adventures and this will only improve.
• I am toilet trained, can Sit when asked and will come when called in a close space but I don’t appear to have had much more training.
