About Spice
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Hi there, I’m Spice! True to my name, I have a lot of flavour, but I’m much more of a gentle, comforting warmth than a fiery kick. I’ve spent a few years waiting for my moment to shine, and these days I’m thriving in a wonderful foster home.
If you ask my foster family what my absolute superpower is, they’ll tell you it’s my massive heart. I love other cats. In fact, I’ve become the ultimate surrogate mum to many of the feline friends in my foster home, offering them comfort, grooming, and companionship.
When it comes to humans, I’m currently "in training!" I am more than happy to hang out in the same room as you, supervise your daily activities, show you how cute I am, tempt you with my belly rolls, and keep you company. Recently, with a lot of determined training from my foster mum I am now learning how great pats are and that hands aren't as scary as I once thought. I am making very fast and brave progress and my foster mum thinks I'll be a real mooch once I figure it out.
My Ideal Home:
Because I am a specialized little soul, I’m looking for a very specific kind of forever home:
A Feline Friend Required: I would be the absolute perfect companion for another cat! If you have a lonely kitty who needs a best friend or a gentle maternal figure, I’m your girl.
A Patient, Low-Expectation Human: I need a dedicated and patient adopter who understands that love doesn't always mean cuddles right away. I need a dedicated human who will take a hands-on approach and actively spend time training me to enjoy pats.
An Indoor Sanctuary: A peaceful, predictable indoor environment will suit my training perfectly.
What is Known About My Background:
Spice is a resilient survivor who spent a few years in a local shelter before moving into foster care about seven months ago. This transition to a home environment has been slow going given the years she spent at the local shelter in a very confined space.
While her past means she is still learning to fully trust human hands, her time in foster care has proven that she is an incredibly nurturing with other cats, and cat-friendly. She just needs the right person and feline friend to give her the time she deserves.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
I'm great with other cats. I have never met a dog, but with a gentle introduction I would probably do well.
