Meet Luna Lovebug, a beautiful 7-year-old girl who has already infected an entire foster home with pure affection… in less than 24 hours.
Surrendered to a vet in Fitzroy, this little lovebug’s story could have been uncertain - until one of our wonderful foster carers stepped in and brought her home.
From the moment she stepped out of her carrier, Luna Lovebug made her intentions crystal clear: she wanted pats, cuddles, and human contact immediately. No settling-in period required. This girl is a walking, purring love epidemic.
She’s the ultimate smoochy Velcro lovebug, the kind who will follow you around the house, curl up against you on the couch, and demand (politely but persistently) every scrap of affection you have to give.
In her first day with us she’s already claimed the sofa as her love nest, blissfully soaking up every scratch, snuggle and smooch on offer. If you’re looking for a cat who truly adores people and thrives on close companionship, Luna Lovebug is that cat.
A few important notes about our girl:
• She can be a little sassy when the mood strikes (even lovebugs have opinions!)
• She loves her food - mealtimes are a major highlight.
• She does not enjoy the company of children.
Luna Lovebug would be happiest in an adult-only home where she can be the centre of attention and spread her particular brand of love as freely as she likes.

About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
