Meet Duke, a magnificent 3-year-old Rottweiler with strength, presence and plenty of personality.
Duke is a powerful, confident boy who is looking for an experienced home that understands the importance of leadership, consistency and clear boundaries. He responds well when he knows what is expected of him and will thrive with someone who is calm, fair and prepared to provide ongoing structure.
Duke can become very focused on his toys, so his new family will need to manage this thoughtfully and continue working with him around impulse control and appropriate play. In the right hands, this is very manageable — but Duke is not a dog who will suit a completely hands-off home.
What Duke offers in return is a loyal, engaging and impressive companion who enjoys interaction and wants a strong relationship with his person. He is still young, intelligent and very capable of continuing to learn.
Duke would best suit someone with previous large-breed or Rottweiler experience who appreciates a dog with both substance and character.
For the right home, Duke will be an incredibly rewarding boy — strong, loyal and ready to give his best to someone prepared to bring out the best in him.
