About Reuben
Meet Reuben!
Reuben is a handsome 9-month-old Staghound mix with a heart as big as his long legs. This sweet young lad is looking for a loving family to call his own and is ready to bring plenty of affection, fun, and companionship into their lives.
Reuben is a people-oriented boy who loves spending time with his humans and is always eager to please. Whether it's joining you for a walk, relaxing at your feet after a busy day, or learning something new, Reuben is happiest when he's with his people. His gentle nature and willingness to learn make him a wonderful companion for a family committed to helping him continue his journey into adulthood.
When he's not soaking up attention from his humans, Reuben loves hanging out with his canine friends. He enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home where he can continue to enjoy social interactions and playtime with suitable doggy companions.
As a young dog, Reuben is still developing his confidence and perfecting his manners, but he approaches life with enthusiasm and a kind spirit. With continued training, guidance, and plenty of positive experiences, he has all the makings of an exceptional family pet.
If you're looking for a loyal, loving young dog who enjoys both human companionship and canine company, Reuben could be the perfect addition to your family.
Sweet, sociable, and eager to please, Reuben is ready to find a home where he can grow, learn, and be loved for the wonderful dog he is. 🐾❤️

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
