Raya

Meet Raya

Raya is a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely loves her cuddles and is happiest when she has her people close by. She has spent some time with our Behaviour Department working on her confidence and coping skills, particularly around separation-related distress.

Because of this, Raya is looking for a home where someone is around more often than not. Her ideal family will understand her needs and be happy to continue supporting her as she builds confidence and learns that being apart from her people is okay.

Outside of that, Raya is a wonderful girl with plenty of personality. She loves a good pig's ear, enjoys soaking up the sunshine, and will happily roll around in a sunny spot while playing with a soft toy in her mouth.

Raya walks well on lead and is a pleasure to take out and about. She is able to meet other dogs, although she can be a little unsure, so she will need ongoing on-lead interactions and confidence building around other dogs.

She has also been working hard on her training and already knows how to go to her mat and sit. She follows a hand signal to lie down, and we've been gradually building her duration. She can even shake hands!

Raya is still working on her crate training, so her new family will need to continue this at her own pace.

She has already come such a long way, and we're looking for someone who will continue to help her grow in confidence while giving her all the love and cuddles she deserves.
