Meet Lucas,

This handsome 1 year and 9 month old Alaskan Malamute mix is ready to leave the shelter life behind and find his forever home. Lucas has it all; beauty, brains and a whole lotta love in his little heart.

An incredible all rounder, Lucas loves people, treats, toys and other doggy friends. He's very sweet, and loves to greet new people with his signature bear hugs. This intelligent boy already knows how to sit, fetch and paw, and prefers to go to the toilet outside. True to the nature of his breed, he's got a lot of energy to run and play, so would suit an active family who are committed to providing enrichment and exercise.

Lucas will need to go to a home where everyone is secondary school aged and above, as he may be a bit too playful and jumpy for younger children. Because he is intelligent and food-driven, he will be very trainable, and we would recommend adopters to continue ongoing force-free training to build on his skills.

Lucas did very well in his dog-test, so may be suitable to go home with another dog, depending on a successful meet and greet at the shelter.
