Cookie

At ten years old, Cookie may be one of our more mature ladies, but she still has so much love and companionship left to give. She can be a little timid when meeting someone new and may simply sit quietly while she works you out, but it doesn't take long for her gentle nature to show. Once she starts feeling comfortable, Cookie softens into pats and leans in for more. She's a lovely, quiet girl who has always preferred taking her time with new people.

After spending her life in a home, finding herself in the shelter at this age is a big change. Cookie would love somewhere calm where she can settle back into home life, get to know her people properly and enjoy her senior years surrounded by familiar faces and plenty of gentle affection.

Cookie arrived with significant dental disease, so our veterinary team performed dental surgery for her and she has recovered beautifully. As she is now ten years old, one of our vets will have a chat with her adopter about her dental history, age and what to expect as she gets older.

Cookie is still a beautiful girl with plenty of life ahead of her, and we would love nothing more than to see her leave the shelter for a home where she can feel settled and loved again. We encourage you to come and meet Cookie at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold.
