Adoption information
About Oscar
Oscar is a male Domestic Short Hair available for adoption in Alligator Creek (Townsville, Queensland).
Oscar is a warm, affectionate cat with a whole lot of love to give.
He wants to be wherever his people are, and he's happy to be scooped up and snuggled like a baby.
His brother Minion is his best friend, and Oscar loves him dearly. The two share their days, their play and their naps.
Oscar and Minion are looking for a home together. Meet Minion here.
A little about Oscar:
🐾 Loves cuddles at any time of day
🐾 Adores a snacky treat
🐾 Lights up at a warm patch of sunshine for a long nap
🐾 Loves a good smooch, and shares them with his dog friends too
🐾 Big fan of a play session between cuddles
Oscar's days are simple and sweet. Cuddles come first, then breakfast, then a nap somewhere warm.
After a play session, he's back for more cuddles before dinner. It's a rhythm built around the people he loves.
He has a cheeky side too, and he's never far away when a snacky treat might be on offer.
Once Oscar knows you, his love is on full display. He's cuddly, smoochy and always keen to be close.
He's a social, gentle soul who gives affection freely. There's no waiting to be asked: if you're home, he'd like to be right there with you.
With new people, he likes to watch from another room or a comfortable distance first. A little quiet encouragement helps, and once he's comfortable, the smooches and cuddles begin.
He's the same with dogs. He likes to see that they're safe first, then he's smooching them too.
Oscar would flourish in a calm, indoor home where someone is around more often than not. An apartment, a suburban house or a rural home would all suit him.
He'll suit a guardian who loves a cuddly cat and enjoys a companion who wants to share their day. Children aged six and up are welcome too.
A sunny window, a cosy bed and a treat or two will be right up his alley.
Picture a lazy weekend morning with Oscar tucked into your arms, melting into the cuddle while the sun warms the room.
Or an afternoon where he stretches out in a sunbeam, then pads over to remind you it's cuddle time.
Or dinner time, when he's at your feet making sure the snacky treats haven't been forgotten.
Oscar is a big-hearted cuddle bug who loves with everything he has, and he's ready to share that love with a home of his own.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
