About Winston
Meet Winston! 🐾|
Hi, I'm Winston, a handsome little boy with a big personality! I'm friendly, affectionate, and love cuddles. Once I feel comfortable, I'm ready to play, explore, and show off my fun-loving nature.
I enjoy the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion or someone who can spend plenty of time with me. I'm currently living in foster care with other dogs, who are helping me learn my manners and confidence.
I was born with a spinal defect, but it certainly doesn't slow me down. I'm an active, happy pup who can do most things just like any other dog. My condition is lifelong, so my future family should be prepared for the possibility of ongoing treatment or extra care, but I promise I'm worth it!
At 6 months old, I've already learned basic tricks, come when called, and am mostly toilet trained. I still have plenty to learn, so I'll need a family committed to continuing my training and socialisation. I haven't lived with cats or young children, so my suitability with them is unknown.
I'm a special little guy looking for a loving family to call my own. I can't wait to meet you! ❤️🐶

Adoption Process
If you should choose to adopt a dog from SEQ K9 Rescue Inc:
You will be asked to complete an Online Adoption Application.
Completing this form helps us to determine if the dog you are applying for will fit your family. Some dogs have special needs so we may be looking for a specific forever home.
After you have completed the Online Adoption Application, we will have the information to determine if you are a good match for the dog you are applying for. Sometimes we may recommend another dog we have in our care.
Keeping in mind some dogs are rather popular, this usually means we receive 100's of applications for the one dog.
If your application fits the needs of the dog we will send you an email requesting photos of your yard and proof of identity.
** Proof of identity is required to ensure we know who we are inviting to our foster carers home**
Next, we will arrange for you to meet the dog/puppy.
We ask that you bring along your children and your dog to meet your potential new family member.
Please remember sometimes there are several applications for the same dog so this process may take up to a week.
If your application is approved, now is the time to invest in a dog harness, lead, bedding and toys.
All adoption fees must be cleared before our dogs can be collected from our carers. Our carers are not permitted to accept cash. Bank deposit/transfers only.
We offer a 2 week trial period - if your new family member is not settling please contact SEQ K9 Rescue Inc via email immediately. We are happy to assist with training or advice if the dog has not settled. Most dogs do not settle within the first 24 hours, please understand your home and family are all new experiences for them.
If for any reason the dog needs to be returned to the rescue organisation, the adoption fee minus a $50 non-refundable deposit will be refunded to you. Your refund will be returned via bank transfer within 10 working days.
If the dog is returned after the trial period generally no refund will be available.
Interstate adoptions may be requested to supply additional information and photographs of the proposed environment for the dog. Interstate adopter must pay transport costs in addition to the adoption fee.
** With CoVid transport may not be available to all areas of Australia**
If the dog is to return from an interstate adoption, the adopter is to pay all costs to return the animal to SEQ K9 Rescue Inc in Brisbane.
We believe "All dogs deserve a forever home".
