About Ernie
Meet Ernie, an adorable Kelpie mix puppy who is eager to find a loving new family. Born on June 10, 2026, Ernie is a sweet little fellow who weighs about 6kg. He is a playful and friendly pup and has a wonderful disposition that makes him an extraordinary companion for any household.
Though Ernie can be a little shy at times, he is coming out of his shell. Ernie loves interacting with his littermates and has a lively energy that keeps everyone on their toes. His ideal home would be one where he is surrounded by a family ready to join in on his playful antics and provide him with plenty of exciting activities to keep his clever mind engaged. Ernie would enjoy exploring a backyard or going on family walks, and he’ll thrive in an environment where he can be a cherished member of the family circle.
Despite some challenges early in life, Ernie's vibrant personality is a testament to his resilience. He is receiving treatment for suspected ringworm, and with some care and attention, this little champion will be ready to start a new chapter with a devoted family by his side.
If you're looking for a loving, puppy to share in your family's adventures and memories, Ernie is ready and waiting to become your devoted companion. A home filled with love and a bit of adventure will bring out the best in this sweet pup.
Medical notes
He has had a rough start.
Ernie came to us out of a pound with his litter mates. They had parvo and we lost 3 of his litter mates. Ernie did not go down with this horrible virus but has since developed what the vet thinks is ringworm. This is being treated with a cream. He can go to his home with some cream provided.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
