About Velcro! ❤️
🐾 MEET VELCRO — Our Confident Mumma Hen! 🤎🤍🐾
If there is one pup who likes to know what's going on, it's Velcro! 😂
Velcro is the biggest of the girls and has the biggest personality to match. With her gorgeous split brown-and-white face, plenty of sass and a natural confidence around her siblings, she has very much appointed herself the leader and mumma hen of the group. 👑🐶
She is the most confident of the three girls and is curious, interactive and happy to investigate what is happening around her.
But there's a little more to Velcro than meets the eye...
Her confidence is strongest when her siblings are nearby. When she's completely on her own, she doesn't always have quite the same boldness she likes to display when she's surrounded by her pack.
Because of this, Velcro may be suitable as an only dog, but this will be assessed carefully during her adoption process. Her future family needs to understand that the confident girl they see in a group may need some extra encouragement when she's learning to navigate the world independently.
🏡 VELCRO'S PERFECT HOME
✅ Confident, patient owner committed to training
✅ House with a secure yard — no units/apartments
✅ Potentially suitable as an only dog, subject to assessment
✅ A friendly, desexed dog may also be suitable
✅ Existing dogs must be desexed and vaccinated
✅ Someone willing to continue building her confidence independently
✅ Puppy/obedience classes strongly recommended
✅ Ongoing socialisation essential
✅ Older children/teenagers preferred — no young children
✅ Cats unknown; careful, slow introductions required
❌ Not suitable to be adopted with a sibling
❌ Not suitable for a home looking for a completely trained adult dog
🐶 A LITTLE ABOUT HER BACKGROUND
Velcro and her littermates have had a very sheltered start. They spent their early months living indoors together with their mum and have had limited exposure to the wider world.
They're now learning about new people, places, experiences, toys and all the strange and exciting things that come with being a family dog.
Velcro tends to approach those experiences with considerably more confidence than her sisters, but she will still need ongoing guidance and socialisation.
The pups appear to be toilet trained and clean in their kennels overnight. They are still discovering toys and learning how to navigate new environments.
All five pups are littermates and have always lived together. They will not be adopted with their siblings, as learning to become an individual dog is an important part of their development.
🐾 Breed: Staffy x Mastiff
🐾 Age: Approximately 9–10 months
🐾 Size: Expected to be around Staffy-sized when fully grown

❤️ IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION
Velcro will be desexed before going to her new home.
There are no walk-ins. Please call the pound first to book a meet-and-greet.
If you're travelling to meet Velcro, please note that payment to hold her is not taken over the phone. A meet-and-greet must take place at the pound first. If the meeting goes well, we can then proceed with the adoption process.
Existing dogs must be desexed and up to date with vaccinations and will need to attend the required meet-and-greet at the pound. 🐕❤️
Velcro has plenty of personality, but underneath the sass is still a young dog learning what life is all about. She's going to be a very special girl for the family who gives her the chance. 💕
