Olivetti is one of the handsome boys from our Typewriter Litter and, at 9.3 kg on 23 August, was the second biggest puppy in the litter.
He is a confident, friendly youngster, comfortable with people and new experiences. He has a lovely open nature and is already showing himself to be a bright, engaging pup with plenty of personality.
Like his littermates, Olivetti is a Kelpie × German Shepherd Dog — two intelligent, highly trainable breeds — so we expect him to grow into an active dog who will enjoy having both his body and his brain kept busy.
Olivetti will need:
✓ Plenty of companionship and inclusion in family life
✓ Kind, consistent training and clear boundaries
✓ Continued socialisation with people, dogs and new experiences
✓ Age-appropriate exercise as he grows
✓ Mental stimulation and opportunities to learn
✓ Secure fencing and a home prepared for an active adolescent dog
He is not looking for a life spent alone in the backyard. Olivetti will thrive with people who want their dog to be part of everyday family life and who enjoy putting time into training, outings and companionship.
Deferred Desexing Program
Because Olivetti is still a young puppy, he is being offered for adoption under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program.
This means he can join his new family now rather than remaining in foster care until he is old enough to be desexed. His adopter will sign ARK’s Deferred Desexing Puppy Adoption Contract, agreeing to prevent him from breeding and to have him desexed on or before 3 March 2027, when he reaches nine months of age.
Desexing is covered by the adoption fee, subject to the terms and conditions of ARK’s Deferred Desexing Puppy Adoption Contract.
Olivetti has not yet completed his puppy vaccination course, so his adopter will need to continue his vaccinations with their own vet. Until that vet confirms he is parvo safe, he should not be taken into public places where unvaccinated dogs may have been, as parvovirus can persist in contaminated environments.
Confident, friendly and one of the bigger boys in the litter, Olivetti has all the makings of a terrific family companion for a home ready to guide a clever young dog through puppyhood and beyond.
If you are looking for a bright, sociable pup with plenty of presence, Olivetti may be your boy. ❤️
