About Sadie
Sadie is a female guinea pig available for adoption in Wallan (Melbourne, Victoria).
Sadie is a curious, cheeky young guinea pig with a quirky personality all her own.
She's independent enough to keep herself busy rummaging through her space and inquisitive enough to want to know exactly what you're up to.
Then, out of nowhere, the zoomies and popcorns start, and you won't be able to help laughing.
As the person who knows her best puts it: "A little bit of ✨ Sadie energy ✨ is like a little blessing disguised as a guinea pig."
A little about Sadie:
🐾 Loves Pink Lady apple, peeled into thin slices just the way she likes it
🐾 Adores her pink strawberry hideout
🐾 Lights up at veggie time, the highlight of her day
🐾 Loves a burst of zoomies and popcorns when you least expect it
🐾 Big fan of gentle, patient company
Sadie's days are full of little adventures. She rummages, explores every corner of her space and takes time out to relax in her favourite hideout.
Veggie time is the big event. Her fresh veggies are best served in thin, peeled slices.
She's particular about her apple, too: mostly the crisp inside, with just a little skin around the edge.
Between meals she's content to potter about, until a sudden burst of zoomies sends her racing and popcorning around her space.
Sadie is a sensitive soul who builds trust through gentle, consistent moments together. With her guardian, she had come to take food from her hand and let herself be held.
Hand-feeding her favourite apple slices is one of the best ways to get to know her. Give her patience, a steady routine and regular, gentle time together, and you'll find she comes to you.
She's completely unbothered by the calm household cat who drops by her enclosure to say hello, and the two go about their business side by side.
Sadie would flourish in a calm, adult household with a guardian who's home more often than not. Older teens with a gentle touch would suit her too.
She'll suit someone who has cared for guinea pigs before, understands what sensitive little souls they are, and finds building trust deeply rewarding.
The company of another gentle furry friend and some safe, supervised time outdoors would make her world even richer.
Picture her tucked into her strawberry hideout, nose poking out the moment she hears an apple being sliced.
Or a quiet afternoon where she takes a thin slice from your fingers, then celebrates with a sudden popcorn across her space.
Sadie is a bright, curious little character with a lot of heart, and she's ready for a patient, loving home of her own.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
