Meet This Gorgeous Little Guy!

Bold, loving, affectionate, smart and food-motivated — Rune really is the whole package!

This gorgeous boy is a happy, social little character who loves being around his people. He’s a bit of a Velcro dog, always wanting to know what you’re up to, but he’s also surprisingly good at settling with a chew or relaxing in his bed.

Rune absolutely loves cuddles, attention, walks, food, squeaky toys and playing with other dogs. He’s confident and adventurous when out and about, happily taking busy beaches, cafes, traffic, buses and loud noises in his stride.

He’s also a fantastic little learner. He already knows sit, is learning stay/wait, walks beautifully on lead and happily puts his harness on. He sleeps through the night in his crate and is doing well with toilet training. He is very food-motivated, so training is a great way to keep his clever brain busy.

Rune is wonderful with other dogs and loves to chase and play. He can get a little over-excited when he sees dogs running and will bark or try to join in, so his new family will need to continue working on calm behaviour and impulse control.

With new people, he can be slightly reserved at first when outside, but inside the home he warms up incredibly quickly. Give him a couple of minutes and he’ll be on your lap giving you kisses!

Rune would love a home with another friendly, playful dog and people who can give him plenty of companionship, exercise and enrichment.

He would suit an active individual, couple or family and has been great with children aged 10 and 13. He could happily live in a unit or suburban home, but wouldn’t be suited to being left alone all day.

His new family will need to continue working on his recall, toilet training and impulse control, particularly around running dogs. His recall isn't yet reliable enough for off-lead adventures, so a long line will be important while he learns.
