Tiny Dog, HUGE Personality!

Meet this adorable little 3kg pocket rocket!

Rook is a sweet, affectionate and very playful puppy who loves nothing more than being part of the action. Whether he’s cuddling on your lap, following you around the house, exploring on a walk, searching for treats or wrestling with his foster brother, he’s happiest when he’s busy and surrounded by his people or doggy friends.

He can be a little shy and cautious with new people and unfamiliar situations, particularly outside, but he warms up quickly once he feels safe. Inside the home, he becomes a total cuddle bug and will happily climb onto a stranger’s lap for pats once he’s had a few minutes to settle.

He’s surprisingly brave for his tiny size and has handled traffic, buses, loud noises, machinery and busy outings really well. Crowds can be overwhelming for him, and he’s not suited to young children. He did wonderfully with a 13-year-old, so older, dog-savvy children would be best.

Another friendly, playful dog is strongly preferred. Rook absolutely loves canine company and has been fantastic with dogs much bigger than him. He loves a good play fight and has no idea that his foster brother is several times his size!

He can become upset when separated from his doggy companion, so we think he would thrive with another dog in his forever home. He has lots of energy and would love a family who enjoys walks, play and keeping him mentally stimulated.

Like any puppy, Rook is still learning and comes with plenty of zoomies, chewing and mischief! Cardboard, shoes and anything he can get his teeth into are currently fair game, so he’ll need supervision, enrichment and appropriate things to keep that busy little brain occupied.

He’s making great progress and already:

- Knows sit and is learning stay/wait.
- Walks nicely on lead and enjoys his walks.
- Is progressing well with toilet training, with occasional puppy accidents.
- Sleeps through the night.
- Has travelled well in a crate in the car.
- Is learning recall, but isn't ready to be trusted off lead yet.

Rook would suit an active individual, couple or family who has time to continue his training and give him plenty of companionship. He could happily live in a unit or suburban home, but wouldn't be suited to being left alone all day.

This little guy is loving, cheeky, curious, energetic and full of personality. He may be tiny, but he has a huge amount of love to give — and he's guaranteed to keep his new family smiling!
