Jasper

Jasper is a gentle, sweet-natured boy who is finding shelter life a little overwhelming and is looking for a calm, patient home where he can truly shine.

When greeted, Jasper was waiting eagerly at the front of his enclosure, meowing softly for attention. Although he initially flinched when a hand was offered for him to sniff, his curiosity quickly won over. Before long, he stepped forward, gently sniffed, and began head-butting for affection. With his tail held high and paws kneading contentedly, Jasper showed just how much he wants human connection once he feels safe enough to trust.

It's clear that Jasper is an affectionate cat at heart, but the shelter environment isn't allowing him to show his true personality all the time. New people and unfamiliar surroundings can make him nervous, and he will need a family willing to give him time to settle in at his own pace. With patience, understanding and plenty of gentle encouragement, Jasper's confidence is sure to continue growing.

Jasper would thrive in a home where he can feel secure and build trusting relationships with his new family. As he becomes more comfortable, his sweet and loving nature is already beginning to emerge through his head bumps, soft meows and desire for affection.
