Meet Tucker ❤️

Tucker is a sweet, loyal boy who loves the simple things in life: plenty of pats, cuddles on the couch, playing with his toys, and relaxing in the backyard before settling in for a good nap.

He is fully toilet trained, travels beautifully in the car, and is happy to snooze or quietly watch the world go by through the window. Around the home, Tucker is easy to handle on lead for short distances such as moving around the house or getting in and out of the car. He is also wonderfully settled indoors and will happily sleep wherever he's shown.

Tucker has great manners and already knows several commands, including sit, wait, leave it, gentle, and come when called. He is highly food motivated, especially if chicken or treats are involved, which makes training enjoyable and rewarding. He is not food possessive and has no separation anxiety. He's also not a digger or escape artist.

With people he knows, Tucker is affectionate and devoted. He does well with women and children and enjoys being part of family activities. When meeting new people, he may bark initially but settles once introductions have been made.

Tucker can live with cats provided introductions are managed slowly and carefully. He generally ignores them unless they challenge him.

His biggest challenge is his reactivity toward other dogs and men. Due to limited socialisation with other dogs since puppyhood, encounters with dogs cause him significant stress, making walks and busy environments difficult for him. Because of this, Tucker needs an understanding home that can help him feel safe and supported.
