About Dory
Dory was born to a stray Mum who gave birth in the bush where she was raised for 3.5 weeks before entering care. If you'd like to read her full story you can check out our Facebook page and look for Disney and her babies.
She has been lovingly raised in foster care with lots of children, other dogs and cats so she is very well socialised. She's used to a busy lifestyle on a few acres where she gets to join the kids on their adventures, she's especially fond of water and loves to have a dip in the doggy pool or run under the hose. She has 1 more vaccination before she can hit the streets but her foster kids have been busy harness and lead training her and she's a star! She's also really food oriented and sits for her food. Dory often accompanies the children in the school run and enjoys the car ride, lapping up the cuddles or snoozing away. She always has access to a crate for her naps and though the door is always left open she loves sleeping in there so crate training will be easy if it's something you would like to do.
Dory will do best in a home that can provide her with plenty of enrichment and can take her on regular adventures like camping, beach days or bush walking. As she's a young pup she'll need companionship from another dog, preferably an older male and/or someone that is home often. Puppies are cute but they are a lot of work and a long term commitment. If you haven't had one before, or it's been a long time between, please consider carefully if you can provide the time and effort that goes into training a puppy.
Dory is located in the Hedland area and is available for a meet and greet once and application has been submitted, but if you're not in town we can arrange a phone call with her carer instead.
