About Chip
Chip is a three year old Jack Russell terrier looking for his furever home. Chip is a wonderfully friendly little guy who absolutely loves people.
He is happiest when he can be close to his humans and tends to follow his people around, wanting to be part of whatever is happening. He’s affectionate, social and has plenty of that classic Jack Russell terrier personality!
Chip can also be an anxious boy, and being around his people helps him feel safe and settled. Because of this, he would do best with someone who is able to give him plenty of companionship, patience and reassurance while he builds confidence.
One area Chip will need some help with is walking on a lead. He can become reactive to other dogs when on lead, so his new family will need to be willing to continue working with him through positive, consistent training. He isn't a dog looking for someone who expects him to be perfect from day one — he needs someone who will give him the time and guidance to learn.
Chip has an indoor/outdoor lifestyle and would love a home where he can enjoy both being part of the family inside and having a safe space to explore outside. Chip does require some house training when it comes to toileting inside, as he occasionally sneaks off and forgets his manners inside.
Chip has not been tested with cats. Chip loves kids, however can be excitable and a little jumpy until reminded "down".
Chip isn't looking for a perfect home — he's looking for the right one.
