💜 Meet Indigo - A Shy Girl Finding Her Confidence

Sweet Indigo came into care as a stray, so we don't know anything about her past. Right now, the shelter environment is a little overwhelming, and Indigo's favorite place is often somewhere she can hide and watch the world from a safe distance. She's definitely a nervous girl and may greet you with some scared hisses and swats when she's feeling unsure. The good news is that there is no aggression behind them - she doesn't use her claws, and once she has some time to settle, she starts to relax with handling.

Give Indigo a little patience and you'll begin to see those tiny signs of progress: she'll accept some gentle pats and even gives us sweet little social meows. 🥹💜 She may not be ready to jump straight into your lap, but she's starting to discover that people aren't quite as scary as she first thought.

Indigo will need an experienced cat owner who understands feline body language and is happy to let her build confidence at her own pace. She isn't suited to a home with young children, as lots of noise and attention could be overwhelming for her.
Her history and suitability with other pets are unknown, so any introductions would need to be slow and carefully managed. An indoor lifestyle is recommended to give this timid girl a safe and secure environment.

Indigo isn't looking for someone who expects instant cuddles. She's looking for someone who understands that trust is earned one tiny step at a time - and who will be there to celebrate every little milestone along the way. 🐾💜
