Meet Staples. ❤️

Staples is only young, but he has already learned that sometimes life doesn't quite go the way you expect.

He was bought as an 8-week-old puppy — tiny, adorable and cute as a button. Six months later, he found himself surrendered with all his possessions, suddenly in a strange place and wondering where his family had gone.

We don't know his full story, and we're not here to tell it for him. What we do know is that we see this far too often. Puppies grow up. They become teenagers. They need exercise, training, boundaries and, most importantly, time. If they're bored, they might chew things, dig holes or find their own entertainment. That's not a bad dog — that's a young dog who still has plenty to learn. And Staples is very much a teenager. 😂

He's a handsome, chunky boy with a pure love of life. He's cheeky, playful and full of enthusiasm for whatever is happening around him. He loves getting out and about and would be fantastic with an active family who will include him in their lives. We think he'd make a brilliant walking or jogging companion.

But underneath all that teenage enthusiasm is a boy who also settles beautifully into a routine. He's happy spending time by himself and doesn't need someone entertaining him every minute of the day.

Staples would be best with a breed-savvy family who understands that he's still young and will continue his training and give him the boundaries all young dogs need. Because he's a solid, enthusiastic boy, we think children aged 12+ would be the best fit.

Staples has already lost one family, he shouldn't be spending the rest of his puppyhood in foster care. He should be home with his people — learning, exploring, going on adventures, making them laugh and creating all those memories that come with watching a young dog grow into an amazing adult.

He's ready...
