About Libby
🐾🐶🦴🩷
Meet Libby 💕
Libby is a tiny, purebred Cavalier with a huge heart.
Weighing in at just around 4kg, this little girl came into our care very malnourished at just over 3kg. She is slowly and safely gaining weight, and because she loves her food so much, she currently has free access to food throughout the day. Our hope is for her to gain another couple of kilos to reach a healthy weight.
Libby is pure love. She is incredibly affectionate and just wants to be near her humans, showered in cuddles and attention. She is a true lap dog — if you let her, she would happily sit on your lap all day long. She doesn't like being alone and absolutely loves the company of other dogs, so she would thrive in a home with another gentle canine friend.
Don't let her tiny size fool you — Libby is a brave little guard dog! She will make sure anyone walking past knows she is on duty, and she likes her voice to be heard. She can be a bit vocal, she whines sweetly when she wants attention, and she does a happy little jump and covers you in kisses when she gets excited.
About Libby:
• Size: Tiny - currently 4kg, pure Cavalier
• Personality: Affectionate, energetic, cuddly, loyal, and vocal
• Dogs: Gets along with most small, gentle dogs. Loves having a doggy companion.
• People: Loves ALL people once she feels safe
• Food: Not fussy at all — she LOVES food! She can resource guard a little, so feeding separately from other dogs is recommended.
• Training: Will need patience and training with leash walking and experiencing the outside world, as she hasn't had the chance to be a pet before. She can be shaky in unfamiliar places and with new faces at first, but once she knows she is safe, she comes out of her shell.
Libby is very clever as she had figured out how to use the doggy door all by herself.
Libby's Current Diet:
Royal Canin Puppy kibble available throughout the day, chicken necks with 1/2 tin of Ziwi wet food for lunch, and a home-cooked healthy dinner of chicken/turkey mince, chicken liver, vegetables and pasta. She also enjoys chicken jerky and a piece of Laughing Cow cheese as treats.
Grooming: Will need regular brushing and professional grooming to keep her beautiful coat in good condition.
Libby is an indoor dog. She is a very special, sweet little girl who deserves a very special, loving home where she will be cherished, adored, and well cared for the rest of her life.
