JT is a gentle, quiet boy with a sweet nature who is looking for a patient family that will give him the time and space he needs to feel safe. While he can be shy when settling into a new home, once he begins to trust you, his affectionate side starts to shine through.

Like many sensitive cats, JT can become overwhelmed by unfamiliar people or busy environments. When he feels unsure, he’ll often retreat to a safe hiding spot until his confidence returns. A calm home where he can settle in at his own pace will help him feel secure and allow his personality to blossom.

JT also has a playful side, that begins to emerge as his confidence grows. Whether it’s chasing toys, exploring his surroundings, or engaging in interactive play with his family, JT loves to have fun once he feels safe and secure.

JT can be selective about the cats he shares his space with. While he has successfully lived with another cat previously, introductions to resident cats should be managed carefully and at a pace that allows everyone to feel comfortable. To help him settle successfully, JT will need access to his own resources, including separate food and water bowls, litter trays, resting areas, and enrichment items.

He would thrive in a quiet home that understands the needs of a shy cat and is willing to let him come out of his shell in his own time. With patience, love, and a little understanding, JT will become a loyal, affectionate, and playful companion.
