About Kiwi
*PLEASE READ PROFILE CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING*
Sometimes the puppies who need us the most are the ones who leave the biggest paw prints on our hearts.
This beautiful little girl was born with a deformed front leg. It makes her a little different, and sometimes a little clumsy, but it hasn't taken away her love for life. She is happy, playful, curious and full of puppy mischief. She runs, she plays, she explores and she simply gets on with being a puppy.
But we owe her future family honesty. As she grows, her unusual leg and the way she bears weight may cause challenges. There is a possibility of future joint or mobility problems, and careful weight management will be incredibly important throughout her life. Low impact activities such as swimming may be beneficial, and she may need additional veterinary care and support as she gets older.
We can't promise what her future will look like. What we can promise is that she deserves a future filled with love.
She needs a family who won't look at her little leg and see a problem. She needs someone who will look into her stunning blue eyes and see a precious puppy who deserves every bit as much love, happiness and spoiling as any other dog.
Her new family will need to be prepared for the possibility of extra vet visits, careful exercise, keeping her weight healthy and making changes if her needs change. This isn't a commitment to take lightly, but in return you will get a little girl who has so much love to give. A puppy who will make you laugh with her clumsy moments. A puppy who will celebrate the smallest things. A puppy who doesn't know that she's different. A puppy who only knows that she wants to be loved.
We aren't looking for someone to feel sorry for her. We're looking for someone who will believe in her. Someone who will carry her when she needs carrying, encourage her when things are difficult, celebrate every little achievement and make sure she always knows just how loved she is. She doesn't need a perfect body to have a perfect heart. She just needs a family willing to give her the chance to show them how much love she has to give.
Kiwi is expected to grow into a medium-to-large dog.
Located in Perth.
Adoption fee includes microchip, 1st Vaccination and contribution towards desex when old enough.
Typically, we try our best to match existing dogs with the opposite sex. From our experience this is best practice for the existing animal, the new addition, and the family. Please consider carefully if your existing pet would be ok with a new addition to the family before applying.
