Meet Aurora, the sweet and sensitive Shih Tzu who is ready to find her forever family.

At just over a year old, Aurora has found herself in our care and is now ready to take that big step towards finding her forever loving family.

Aurora can get initially nervous with being touched and handled and is quite noise-sensitive. Because of this, Aurora will need an adults-only household, as young children can be too boisterous and loud for her.

Although timid at first, Aurora truly craves human affection and wants nothing more than to be her person's little shadow. She is just waiting for someone to give her the time and patience she needs to come forward and show them her beautiful personality.

Aurora initially showed some positive interactions with other dogs, however, we would recommend that she starts off as the only pooch in the household to help her gain her bearings and settle into her new environment. With time, she may potentially do well with a calm, confident dog who she can model her behaviour off.

As with the breed, Aurora will require frequent grooming to maintain her beautiful coat. Her new family will also need to be willing to support her as she builds her confidence over the coming weeks and months.

We are certain that once Aurora comes out of her shell, she will be the most loving little pooch. But this will take time, patience and understanding. Aurora needs an adopter who is willing to work with her at her own pace and help her discover just how wonderful life can be.
